Dr. Stapleton is a Registered Psychologist based in Kelowna, B.C., providing psychological services across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. She is clinically certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a specialized, trauma-focused approach, and is known for bringing a compassionate, evidence-based lens to her work.
With a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology from Walden University and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Dakota, Dr. Stapleton combines extensive academic training with over a decade of practical experience.
In her private practice, she offers services in forensic, clinical, and counselling psychology. Her work includes trauma therapy, psychoeducational assessments, and psychological evaluations tailored to individual needs. She also specializes in psychodiagnostic assessments and forensic evaluations, including risk assessments for pretrial purposes and expert witness services. In addition, she conducts pre-employment psychological assessments for law enforcement and other public safety candidates, ensuring suitability for high-responsibility roles.
Her therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and holistic strategies that foster resilience and personal growth. Dr. Stapleton’s previous work with the Correctional Service of Canada included psychological risk assessments, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention.
